BABY SHOWER SPRINKLES

A growing trend is for parents to have a Baby "Sprinkle" (shower) which is when they have their second and third children. The baby sprinkle is more popular lately due to the economy where parents can recieve essential gifts such as:

Diapers
Bathware
Onesies
Formula
Books
Car Seat

The baby sprinkle is also helpful when the second child is of the opposite sex and the parents may want some baby shower gifts that are different from the first, including clothing (i.e., princess as opposed to cowboy), toys (doll instead of a spaceship) and baby bedding (butterflies instead of sports).

Although historically baby showers were only for the first child, baby sprinkles are absolutely accepted and growing in popularity. The major differences may include the following:

• Usually only inviting the closest of friends - Baby sprinkle parties are usually with family and immediate friends.
   
• Shorter Party - The baby sprinkle is usually only for an hour or two as opposed to an entire morning or afternoon.
   
• Informal - The sprinkle is usually in casual-ware and open door for those to come when they can between a certain time.
   
• Sprinkle Games - Usually baby shower games are not played but they are fun and can be played at any time if everyone is open. Usually baby shower prizes are not given out at these sprinkle parties.e.. Co-Ed Party - Many times the baby sprinkle will include both husbands and wives.
   
• Sprinkle Food - Shower food is usually only finger food and appetizers. Chips, salsa and dip are a favorite as well as pigs in a blanket!
   
• Sprinkle Theme - A cute idea is to use the sprinkle idea as a theme and serve icecream with sprinkles. You can use sayings like "sprinkle a lot of love" on messages at tha party as well as make    sprinkle decorations. Place sprinkles on the tables as confetti.
   
• Sprinkle Giving To The Unfortunate - A great idea is to give to your favorite charity and sprinkle some wealth to those who need help! Make a fun party out of doing a great thing for the world! It is nice for a group of people to go in on a larger ticket item like a second car seat as the parents-to-be will appreciate it.

Just remember that a baby sprinkle can be planned any way you want it since it is your party to enjoy.
