I am throwing a non-traditional shower - really more of an upscale luncheon in her honor. They live on the opposite coast, so it will be very small - so far only 12 respondents. It's a co-ed get together as well. I was not aware that there are games played at baby showers, prizes or guest books - none of the showers I've been to have ever had these things. Plus since they live far away they asked that all the gifts be sent to their home and not brought to the event. Do I really need to do games and such?

I had a coed shower, and the games were hillarious with all the guys there. The women had all definately tasted all the baby foods, or seen candy in a diaper at a shower before, but the guys didn't quite know what to do with themselves! Great pictures of their faces. You don't have to do games though... do whatever you think the mama would like.
