A cute idea is always using diaper cakes as center pieces, they are very easy to make. An article on ehow.com says you need Diapers, colored ribbon (1/8 inch), colored ribbon (2 inches), two receiving blankets, 1 baby bottle, glue gun with glue sticks, and baby trinkets that could be glued on for decorational purposes.
1. Take a diaper out (leave it folded in half) roll it up and tie a 1/8 inch ribbon around it. Do this to about 60 diapers. You may need more, depending on the circle you start with.
2. Fold your receiving blanket and roll it. Try to make the length of the blanket, the same length as the diapers, then roll it up and tie with 1/8 ribbon.
3. Place the rolled up blanket down and start placing diapers around it, make about 2 rows around the blanket. Then tie with 1/8 ribbon. This creates the bottom tier.
4. Put about 12 diapers together and use a ribbon to tie them together. Try to form a circle, fill gaps and form with other rolled up diapers. Place on top of the bottom tier. This makes the middle tier.
5. For the top tier, put the baby bottle in the middle and build a circle around it. Tie the ribbon around it once you have a good circle. (Let the tip of the bottle stick out of the top).
6. Take the 1 1/2 inch ribbon and wrap around each tier, use the glue gun to glue the end edges together. Repeat this to each tier.
7. Take this time to decorate with any trinkets - use the glue gun and glue with tiny specs. Just to make it stick a little.
