djh209	# Posted: 23 Sep 2008 12:52 My friend and her husband are the pround parents of a soon to be 4 year old son. They have been trying for the past 3 years to have 1 more child - and after a few frustrating years of fertility treatments she gave up and donated all the baby stuff she saved to charity since she thought that she would never get pregnant. She is now pregnant with twins... My question is, how do I involve her 4 year old in the baby shower? He is already feeling left out because all this talk about the twins and how high risk the pregnancy is, he is frankly getting tired of it. So I want him to feel like he has a part in the baby shower but I have no idea how to incorporate him! The mother-to-be of the twins wants this baby shower to be co-ed. I am planning on making the invitations - and maybe I could have something that says "Come help me celebrate my new siblings"? Suggestions?
MiRose	# Posted: 31 Jan 2009 10:29 I do not know, but you could have a gift just for the brother to be. Maybe even make him a shirt. They have the Iron on sheets that you can use in your printer. Then iron the saying or picture onto a Tshirt. Something about Big Brother to be or I'm going to be a big brother. You could have a cute picture of him on the front of the invite and say something about come help me celebrate the birth of my new brothers or sisters? I know on the pregnancy board I am on some of the mothers made up "gift packs" for the older kids so that they did not feel left out of births and showers. Maybe buy him a toy and wrap it. Or (I do not know what he likes) put together a game and coloring book pack?
