I am throwning a shower for my sister in law who just found out she has gestational diabetes. Does anyone have a fun idea for a dessert we can serve her while the rest of us are having cake?

Look for recipes that use Splenda in place of sugar.

Splenda is not a good idea for everyone with gestational diabetes I tried it once and made my suger level sky rocket higher then regular suger

I suggest using a diabetes cook book, you are exactly right splenda is not always the best alternative to sugar. You must take into account what kind of sugar is used to replace regular sugar! Taken from experience my son had Type 1 Diabetes and we have learned a lot!
