My friend and I are planning on throwing a baby shower (girl) for the happy couple who are in their 30's but we are both inexperienced shower throwers. It will be a couples shower set either at my home or at a nearby park. So my question is, what are some ideas/activities for this party that do NOT include traditional goofy games? I don't want to scare away the men...or the women. Most of the people coming don't have children.
Please help!

Make your party more about socializing and taking a lot of pictures. Make it sort of the last big blow out the parents-to-be will have before the baby is born. So maybe throw a pot-luck and have presents for the baby. If it is okay with the mommy-to-be, you may even offer alcohol or have music and dancing.

This is the game: bottle sucking by the men. The reward is: certificate for sucker #1!! For the women: blow up a balloon until it bursts, reward: certificate for best blow job! Make some nice certificates and hand them over with ceremony!

I am throwing a co-ed shower next month. I found three different games that I am putting into one game. A stroller realay, a relay with a weighted backpack and hanging clothes on a clothes line. I am hoping since it is a physical game the men will enjoy themselves.

If you dont want to do any games and just want to have a good time together, why not have a teaparty. Miss marloes does tea party catering(this one is in essex but there are more in the country). She supplies sandwiches, tea, homemade cakes and all the china. For baby showers the cakes can have baby decorations like little booties in pink or blue if you like.
