Need a poem, but haven't the time
The poem lady can write you the perfect rhyme
Birthday, bar mitzvah or any shower
Let her make you the toast of the hour

jill-the poem lady here.

How is this for you?

We'll see you at the shower and just can't wait
If everyone chipped in it would be really great
We could buy _____ a crib that she really would love
Give what you'd like under 10, not above
Then every night she'll think of all of you
When the baby is asleep and her day is through

Best of luck and please refer a friend to thepoemlady(dot)com

I was also looking for a poem to include with the invitation. Something about skipping a card or fancy paper/bow and include a book to help baby's library grow...

Or maybe include a jar of baby food instead? (Not sure how long the shelf life is for baby food though.....

Can you help me too poemlady???? Thanks!

By the time the baby is born, the baby food would take another 6 months before it can be used - likely to expire before then. I will work on the book poem for you. I'll be back soon.

This is what I have so far:

Just something for you to think about
That will be long used without a doubt.
You could skip the card, wrapping & bow
And include a book to help baby's library grow.

any suggestions?

jill - the poem lady here

I think your poem looks terrific. I tweaked it a little for you. Some people use this poem and give the mom-to-be a set of bookends at the shower. Enjoy!

Just one more thing for you to think about
That would truly be cherished without a doubt
You could skip the card, wrapping & bow
And include a book to help baby's library grow
With mom Baby Ella can take a look
Or hop in Dad's lap and open a book
Whether Cat in the Hat or Winnie the Pooh
Sign the inside cover with a note from you
She’ll become very smart, if my advice you do heed
If we begin early, she'll soon love to read
Nothing compares to a set of bookends
Filled with books given by all of one’s friends
Good times and laughter we all hope to share
Amy will be thrilled to see you all there

I am not certain if you are looking for certain Winnie the Pooh poems, but I write customized poems that can incorporate whatever sentiment you are trying to convey. Let me know if you would like my assistance.

This is such a cute idea! We were thinking about asking everyone to bring a pack of diapers. Every pack would get them a raffle ticket to win a gift basket. Any suggestions on a cute way to word this? Thanks.....

Hi ladies,

jill - the poem lady here. I am so backed up with work that I cannot get to everyone's gratis requests. I still give out free advice jar poems if you email me, but I can only do the others for those who order them. Given the tight economic times, I am going to try something I have never done before. Until April, all baby and bridal shower orders will be 50% off. That's right - get your order in before April first and it will be half price. Thank you always for your support and I hope you have a happy shower.

jill - the poem lady here. Happy to help you out. I wrote this poem and I hope it is what you are looking for.

Please join us in welcoming the new little one
With good friends and food it'll be lots of fun
If all brought a baby product it would be really swell
We'll try to fill up the whole wishing well
Shampoo for her hair or Desitin is first rate
Lotions and soap would also be great
You can sign the item with a permanent pen
Each time it’s used, she’ll think of you again
They’ll be so excited, if this advice you do heed
When the baby arrives, they’ll have all that they need
How great it will be to have their odds and ends
Contributed with love by all of their friends
Good times and laughter is what we will share
(Name) will be thrilled to see you all there

I need a poem for my best friend telling her we know that this was unexpected but I know that she will be a damn good mother. I have waited so long for this to happen and I wasn't sure that it ever would. I'm proud of the woman she is and the mother that she is going to become.

jill-the poem lady here. Enjoy the poem.

A poem for ------, my best friend
Life gives us a curve ball in the end
When least expected you're given a gift
It warms the heart and gives spirits a lift
Always there to support one another
I know you will make an incredible mother

I need a poem to help thank a few family members giving me a baby shower. I was thinking about getting them a cute unbrella to go along with the poem. It is for a few of my sisters and sister-in-laws.
Thanks

jill - the poem lady here.
If you would like to email me more details I can make it more personal. But you can use something to this effect:

Thank you for throwing me such a wonderful shower
I truly felt like the woman of the hour
Here's a little token for when the rain comes by
You'll remember that day and even stay dry

Let me know what you think and we can take it from there.

I am planning to let all the guest put a wish in the jar for her life every year until she's 18, then I'm going to give the jar to her as a gift on that birthday. I need a poem or something to put on the outside of the jar. If you can get anything going for me, I would be very greatful! Thanks in advance.
