Baby shower 101 was created for new moms, friends and family members who are going to throw the baby shower. I wanted to make a portal where everyone can go to get free content in helping make planning less stressful for everyone as well as add some creativity to the baby shower if needed. A key fact to remember is that you are throwing this party for a good friend, sister, daughter, or family member and that being with good friends and family is the biggest value of the party. Baby Shower in May Spring and Mother's Day It's May and time to plan the baby shower - Spring style! This great baby shower season party time makes a great theme for any baby shower since there are so many things you can do to tie in the April themes. A few ideas are to use the "new life" theme by using trees sprouting new leaves, baby animals, and flowers. You can use vibrant colors for the party as well as green to symbolize new life. Flowers make a great decoration on tables, especially sunflowers and tulips! Decorations can be purchased for the Spring season and cups, place settings and other items can also have a spring theme. Wall decorations can be spring festive with the use of leaves, flowers, birds and baby animals (chicks) representing the new life. Tables can be decorated with baskets of flowers (sunflowers are great as well as vibrant lilies, snap dragons, and other bright colors)! It is also a great time to bring in the Mother's day celebration for the new mother to be. Mother's day decorations can be placed up as well! A great baby shower game to play is to have everyone write a message for the mother and father to be on cut out flowers or springs cards and present them to the mother to be by placing them in a keepsake box decorated with flowers for the spring season. Have the mother to be read each one out loud as she takes them out of the box which makes for a sentimental and funny time. Another great game is for everyone to write down as many baby animal names that are different from the general name (i.e., chickens vs chicks, dogs vs puppies, cats vs kittens, etc).
